Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Jefferson County, Mississippi. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
