Foundry labourer — Rabun County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Rabun County, Georgia. On the job you will handle: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Six days a week, one day off.
