Immediate opening: foundry operative (Texas)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a foundry operative in Edwards County, Texas. The role involves check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends.
