Shakeout operator — Sagbama

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Sagbama, Bayelsa State. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On a typical shift you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand.
