Great opportunity: we are hiring an ironing operator in Columbia County, New York. The job is in a busy laundry. The role involves: • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Give each garment a final press before packing • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press Ideal candidate: • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Rotating shifts.
