Banksman — Dickenson County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Dickenson County, Virginia. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. Your main tasks: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit Requirements: • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites Performance bonus on top of base pay.
