Furnace operator — Lewis County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a furnace operator in Lewis County, Missouri. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
