Great opportunity: we are hiring a turning centre operator in Macon County, North Carolina. You will be based in a tool room. You should have: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred On the job you will handle: • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Write and edit G-code programs at the control • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Set up workpieces in three-jaw chucks and collets At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
