Immediate opening: we are hiring a head butcher in Bay County, Michigan. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler The role involves: • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife • Mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone Six days a week, one day off.
