Now hiring: we are hiring a flatlock machine operator in Surry County, North Carolina. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Your main tasks: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
