Brick and block layer — Grand County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Grand County, Utah. What we are looking for: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks On a typical shift you will checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
