Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Washington County, Maryland. The job is at a dry cleaner's. The role involves spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; give each garment a final press before packing; use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Ideal candidate: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Physically fit to lift bundles and handle repetitive work Six days a week, one day off.
