Now hiring: we are hiring a kitchen porter in Edmonson County, Kentucky. You will work in a hospital canteen. On a typical shift you will top up detergent and rinse aid and check wash and sanitise temperatures; clean, drain and descale the dish machine at the end of each shift; scrape leftover food off plates and pre-rinse before loading; wash chopping boards, knives and kitchen utensils; sort, dry and return clean plates and bowls to the kitchen stations; hand-wash pots, pans and trays using the three-sink wash-rinse-sanitise method. Requirements: • Careful handling of cleaning chemicals and degreasers • Good teamwork with chefs and floor staff • Keen eye for cleanliness and kitchen hygiene standards 6+ years on the tools preferred.
