Lathe programmer-operator — Calderdale

Join our team: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Calderdale, England. The job is on the CNC turning shop floor. On the job you will handle: • Run first-off inspection and sign off the part • Change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) Requirements: • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg 6+ years on the tools preferred. £2,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
