Great opportunity: we are hiring a VMC operator in Carlton County, Minnesota. You will work in a die and mould making unit. The role involves set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter; hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm; keep in-process inspection records and log production counts; select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters. You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces 2+ years on the tools preferred.
