Immediate opening: garment presser (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a garment presser in Portsmouth, England. What we are looking for: • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings You will operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments; sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. £14 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
