Foundry worker — Bristol County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry worker in Bristol County, Rhode Island. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On the job you will handle: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
