Shakeout operator • Lee County, Texas

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Lee County, Texas. Your main tasks: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Full-time, day shift.
