Furnace operator wanted in Covington County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a furnace operator in Covington County, Mississippi. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Day-to-day duties: • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes 2+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,400 per month plus benefits. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
