Now hiring: we are hiring a chiller technician in Pike County, Illinois. The role involves trace leaks with an electronic detector and soap solution; fault-find control boards and defrost timers; clean condenser and evaporator coils; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture. You should have: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
