Argon welding operator — Coffee County

Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Coffee County, Alabama. The job is on a structural steel site. The role involves set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Pay around $3,600 per month, based on your experience.
