Core maker wanted in Corson County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a core maker in Corson County, South Dakota. On the job you will handle: • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
