Immediate opening: we are hiring a core maker in Perry County, Alabama. You will work at an aluminium die-casting plant. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On the job you will handle: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Full-time, day shift.
