Crane operator — Clay County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane operator in Clay County, Iowa. On a typical shift you will rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams; park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone; work out the load weight and the lifting radius; climb and inspect the tower crane mast and tie-ins; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports. Ideal candidate: • A good head for heights for tower crane work • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Current medical and eyesight certificate Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
