Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Yakima County, Washington. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection We offer $26 per hour plus benefits.
