Sheet metal press operator — Otsego County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Otsego County, New York. You will be based at an auto components factory. On the job you will handle: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components Requirements: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses Overtime paid at a premium rate.
