Immediate opening: foundry labourer (Kentucky)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Owen County, Kentucky. You will work on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling You will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring. 1+ years on the tools preferred.
