Core maker — Ingham County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Ingham County, Michigan. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities 5+ years on the tools preferred.
