Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Franklin County, Tennessee. You will work at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
