Vacancy available: rigger (Kwara State)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a rigger in Kaiama, Kwara State. You will work at a shipyard. Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear What we are looking for: • Able to inspect and reject defective lifting gear • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
