Concrete finisher — Ashtabula County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Ashtabula County, Ohio. The job is on a road and bridge project. Day-to-day duties: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Mix concrete to the specified grade (M15, M20, M25) by hand or in a mixer • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing Requirements: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long hours on your feet • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
