Ideal candidate: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Basic cake decorating and piping skills • Food handler / hygiene certificate Day to day you will weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls. Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
