Join our team: shakeout operator (Tennessee)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Houston County, Tennessee. You will be based on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Contact us to fix an interview.
