Fabricator-welder — LaMoure County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in LaMoure County, North Dakota. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height On a typical shift you will inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions.
