Escalator technician wanted in Amelia County

Now hiring: we are hiring an escalator technician in Amelia County, Virginia. You will be based at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. Day-to-day duties: • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Install guide rails, brackets and counterweight frames in the hoistway • Fill in the service logbook and statutory inspection paperwork You should have: • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • 2+ years on lift installation and maintenance At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
