Brick mason • Grant County, Kentucky

Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick mason in Grant County, Kentucky. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. The role involves erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Performance bonus on top of base pay.
