Steel fixer — Lamar County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a steel fixer in Lamar County, Mississippi. Your main tasks: • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Bend bars to shape on a bar bending machine • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire We offer $230 per day plus benefits.
