Fusing press operator — Somerset County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The job is in a garment export house. You will use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics; fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Pay around $22 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
