Construction labourer — Putnam County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a construction labourer in Putnam County, New York. Day-to-day duties: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns Requirements: • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker Part-time with flexible hours. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
