Vertical milling machine operator • Lee County, Iowa

We are recruiting: we are hiring a vertical milling machine operator in Lee County, Iowa. You will be based in a CNC machining unit. You should have: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Experience on Fanuc/Siemens CNC controls On the job you will handle: • Monitor tool wear and change blunt inserts and cutters • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Run first-off parts and check dimensions before batch production • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Hold close tolerances down to ±0.02 mm • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
