Precision welder — Williamson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a precision welder in Williamson County, Illinois. You will be based at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) You will weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. $3,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Full-time, day shift. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
