Ladle pourer — Fairfax County

Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Fairfax County, Virginia. Day-to-day duties: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Meals and transport allowance provided.
