Great opportunity: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Macomb County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise • Understanding of safe digging near underground services The role involves: • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines • Check for underground cables and services before digging • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations 2+ years on the tools preferred.
