Immediate opening: machinist (Ohio)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Fairfield County, Ohio. You will be based in a sampling and tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown Day-to-day duties: • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
