Foundry labourer — Nuckolls County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Nuckolls County, Nebraska. What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling On a typical shift you will tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
