Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding 3+ years on the tools preferred.
