Trailer driver — Greene County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trailer driver in Greene County, Virginia. You will work at a container freight yard. Day to day you will couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock; carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; report defects and book the unit in for servicing; log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards. Ideal candidate: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Willing to take on night and multi-day trips • Valid digital tachograph card Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
