Join our team: we are hiring a gas meter installer in Dickinson County, Iowa. You will be based at a busy gas installation company. On the job you will handle: • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections You should have: • 2+ years' experience on domestic and commercial gas installations • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
