Blocklayer — Ashtabula County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a blocklayer in Ashtabula County, Ohio. You will be based on a commercial construction site. Day to day you will pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. What we are looking for: • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Part-time with flexible hours.
