Great opportunity: we are hiring a mason's helper in Pickens County, Alabama. You will be based on a commercial building project. Requirements: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Able to follow the mason's and supervisor's instructions • Willing to work outdoors in heat, dust and rain You will pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator; wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors.
